I decided to create a scene in my animation where a monster symbolizing the concept of gaze is pursuing characters who are trying to escape. Through this project, I aimed to convey a message in a gaming world context about the importance of confronting and overcoming the fear of being stared at. The game is themed around defeating these staring monsters to emerge victorious. The setting of the game mainly takes place in a subway, where instances of uncomfortable staring have been reported, particularly affecting women. I portrayed visuals of a character feeling distressed and vulnerable when faced with numerous uncomfortable stares. The first glance she encounters leaves her feeling insecure, powerless, and despondent, with additional comments and criticisms causing further distress and self-doubt.
